VISIT OF IAS OFFICERS TRAINEES TO AIR FORCE STATION JAISALMER

A group of 18 IAS Officers trainees of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussorie, are on a two day visit (09 -10 Jan 14) to Air Force Station Jaisalmer as a part of their educational tour. On their arrival the officer trainees were welcomed by Air Commodore Chandramouli, Vishsist Seva Medal, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jaisalmer. In the initial briefing session, the trainees were provided a cursory glimpse of the Air Force Station and the various facets of Air Force way of life. During their visit the officer trainees also interacted with officers and air warriors. During the interactions, the IAS probationers showed keen eagerness to learn about the various administrative problems faced by a Defence establishment in a border region and how they are resolved. An Air Display was showcased especially for the visiting officer trainees which left them spellbound. 

One of the IAS probationer, Mr Raghav Sharma said that they are privileged to have interacted with senior IAF Officers and gain knowledge on IAF’s role in national security scenario. Another probationer Ms Rajani Singh conveyed that this visit to Air Force Staion Jaisalmer has changed their overall perspective about functionining of Air Force. She added that the visit has been an inspiring experience for the group and would surely broaden their thinking about national security issues.

The group of IAS probationers was all praise for the administrative functioning of the station. Each of the probationer left Air Force Station Jaisalmer with a plethora of working dynamics of a Defence establishment.
